IDRA Asks for Updated Records, Academic Certificates of Life Insurer CEOs

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh’s insurance regulator has asked all life insurance companies to provide updated information and educational documents of their chief executive officers (CEOs).

The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) issued the order in a notice on Tuesday (18 August).

The notice, signed by IDRA Director (Life) and Deputy Secretary Debaprasad Pal, was sent to the CEOs and managing directors of the companies.

According to the notice, companies must submit updated CVs of their CEOs, along with copies of all educational certificates and mark sheets.

They must also provide documents showing IDRA’s approval of the CEOs’ appointments.

The regulator has given the companies three working days to submit the required documents.

IDRA also instructed them to update the information online through a Google Form provided with the notice.
