MetLife Bangladesh secures ‘great place to work’ certification for second time

Staff Correspondent: MetLife Bangladesh has been awarded the international 'Great Place to Work' certification for the second year running, reaffirming its position as the only insurance company in the country to hold the distinction. The recognition reflects employee feedback on the company’s workplace environment, leadership and career-development opportunities.
The certification is granted following a structured assessment of employee experience and organisational practices. MetLife’s nomination and subsequent recognition were driven by surveys and evaluations that measure trust in leadership, respect, fairness, camaraderie and the company’s investment in people. According to MetLife Bangladesh, the award emphasises the company’s existing effort to make an empowering and respectful workplace culture.
“A workplace where people feel respected and inspired is central to how we operate,” said Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh. “This recognition validates the positive environment we have worked to make so our teams can deliver best-in-class service and trusted insurance protection to our customers.”
Founded more than seven decades ago, MetLife has long been a prominent name in Bangladesh’s life insurance market. The company now serves around one million individual policyholders and more than 900 corporate clients. Its countrywide operation is supported by a workforce of over 400 employees and a distribution network of around 12,000 insurance representatives.
