Continental Insurance opens CEO vacancy; apply by Jan 27

Staff Correspondent: Continental Insurance PLC has issued a recruitment circular to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), asking qualified candidates to apply by January 27, 2026, according to a notice published on the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) website.

The role is full-time and based in Mohakhali, Dhaka, with compensation and benefits to be set under IDRA rules. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in any discipline, with no third division/class at any stage of education. Professionally, candidates need at least 12 years’ experience in a non-life insurance company, including a minimum of one year as Additional Managing Director. The age range is 48-60, although the requirement may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.

Beyond eligibility, the circular emphasises leadership strength: strong command of corporate finance and performance management, knowledge with core functions like marketing, finance and IT and a deep understanding of corporate governance. Proven CEO experience in a reputable non-life insurer will be preferred.
