EBL and MetLife Bangladesh honour top bancassurance performers

Press release: Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) and MetLife Bangladesh have jointly recognised top-performing bancassurance professionals at the Bancassurance Awards Night & Kick Off 2026, celebrating excellence in delivering customer-focused insurance solutions.

The event highlighted the achievements of EBL executives who played a key role in promoting insurance products and expanding bancassurance services to customers across the country. EBL is one of the bancassurance partners of MetLife Bangladesh.

Speaking at the programme, Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director of Eastern Bank Limited, congratulated the award recipients and underscored the importance of insurance in financial planning.

The programme was attended by senior leadership from both organisations. Representatives from EBL included Managing Director Ali Reza Iftekhar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking M. Khorshed Anowar, EVP and Head of Wealth and Liability Sarmin Atik.

From MetLife Bangladesh, attendees included Chief Executive Officer Ala Ahmad, Assistant Managing Director and Chief Distribution Officer Jafar Sadeque Chowdhury, and Director and Head of Bancassurance Savrina Arifin.
