Sonali Life Insurance Director Fauzia receives Sahasika 4.0 Women Entrepreneurs Award

Staff Correspondent: Fauzia Qamrun Tania, Director of Sonali Life Insurance PLC, has received the ‘Sahasika 4.0- Women Entrepreneurs Award’ in recognition of her outstanding contribution to entrepreneurship and economic development.

The award was presented on Sunday (March 8) at a ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka, marking International Women’s Day. The event honoured women entrepreneurs for their innovation, leadership and impact across different sectors of the economy.

Fauzia Qamrun Tania was recognised for her role in strengthening entrepreneurial initiatives and supporting economic growth through her professional and business contributions.

The programme brought together prominent policymakers, business leaders and entrepreneurs. Professor Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain, Honorable Minister of Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs, attended the event as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony was chaired by Md. Amzad Hossain Khan, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and adviser to the Sahasika initiative.

According to the organisers, the Sahasika initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs by strengthening their leadership capabilities, expanding professional networks and creating opportunities for collaboration and growth.
