Bangladesh sets new office hours for insurance firms to save energy

Staff Correspondent: The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) has introduced a new office schedule for insurance companies in Bangladesh as part of the government’s efforts to conserve energy and electricity.
The decision aligns with the revised office timings announced by the government and follows instructions issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance. IDRA formally communicated the directive to insurance companies through a circular on Sunday (April 5).
Under the new schedule, both life and non-life insurance companies will operate from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, while weekly holidays will remain on Friday and Saturday.
According to the regulator, the revised schedule will remain in effect until further notice.
