Swadesh Islami Life invites applications for CEO position

Staff Correspondent: Swadesh Islami Life Insurance Company Limited has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply by April 22, 2026. The announcement was published on April 19 on the official website of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA).

According to the official notice, candidates must possess both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from a recognised university in any discipline. Applicants are required to have achieved at least a second division or an equivalent grade point average (CGPA) throughout their academic career.

The company is seeking individuals with substantial experience in the life insurance sector. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in the industry, including at least two years in a position directly below the CEO level. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience serving as a CEO in a similar organisation.

The age limit for applicants is set between 40 and 64 years. In addition, candidates must meet all other qualifications and regulatory requirements as prescribed by IDRA, including compliance with SRO No. 375-Law/2012 and SRO No. 338-Law/2023.

Interested candidates are required to submit a complete application package, including a detailed curriculum vitae, a recent passport-sized colour photograph, and all relevant supporting documents. Applications must reach the Chairman of Swadesh Islami Life Insurance Company Limited at Swadesh Tower, 41/6 Purana Paltan, Dhaka-1000, within the stipulated deadline.
