Sonali Life Celebrates Excellence at Leaders Club Awards

Staff Correspondent: Sonali Life Insurance PLC celebrated the achievements, leadership and contributions of its Leaders Club achievers at the MGQ Leaders Club Awards Programme 2024-2025.

The event was held on Monday (June 15) at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka. Employees and field force members from different levels of the company attended the programme.

The annual event was dedicated to the memory of the company's founder, late Mostafa Golam Quddus.

The programme was chaired by Sonali Life Chairman Moinul Islam and supervised by Acting Chief Executive Officer Md Rafiqul Islam. State Minister for the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs and the Ministry of Land, Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin attended the event as the chief guest.

Among others present were Director Sheikh Mohammad Daniel, Director Fouzia Qamrun Tania, Chief Operating Officer Md Monjur Morshed, members of the board of directors and other senior officials of the company.

More than 3,000 employees, including branch managers, unit managers and financial associates who qualified for the Leaders Club from different parts of the country, participated in the event. The programme featured awards for outstanding performers, motivational speeches and cultural performances.

Through the annual gathering, Sonali Life sought to inspire its workforce and encourage greater excellence, leadership and success. The company also highlighted its recent business achievements during the event.

According to the latest statistics for 2025, Sonali Life ranked fifth among the country's life insurers in terms of premium income, recording premiums worth Tk 865.87 crore.

The company also secured the fifth position in renewal premium income, which reached Tk 541.24 crore.

In addition, Sonali Life ranked sixth in claims settlement, paying Tk 405.15 crore in claims to policyholders. The company also achieved the seventh position in life fund size, with its life fund reaching Tk 892.97 crore.

Sonali Life also remained among the country's top 10 life insurers, with investments amounting to Tk 675.45 crore.
