Liberty Mutual Insurance Employee Linked to Political School Clash

Int’l Desk: A Liberty Mutual employee has drawn widespread online attention after a confrontation at an Indiana high school event and a subsequent change to her LinkedIn profile.

Kailly Stanich, previously listed as a property claims adjuster at the insurer since 2021, appeared to remove Liberty Mutual from her professional experience section, according to side-by-side images circulated on August 20, 2026. The change followed days of social media discussion linking her to a dispute at Westfield High School’s Rock the Block event which was highlighted by the social media pages of Turning Point USA.

The incident involved Sophia Hunt, a 17-year-old student and president of the school’s Turning Point USA chapter, who was distributing red, white and blue USA-themed bracelets at a booth. Stanich, attending with her young son, objected to the political material and imagery associated with the group.

Accounts differ on the physical details. Hunt alleged that Stanich pulled her son away, knocked a bracelet from her hand and confronted her verbally. Stanich acknowledged the confrontation in her own TikTok videos, citing her political objections, but disputed some of the physical claims.

Videos posted by Stanich, in which she discussed confronting the student over views linked to Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA, fueled further criticism. Social media accounts, including Libs of TikTok, connected her online identity to her employer and questioned whether Liberty Mutual supported the conduct.

The LinkedIn comparison then became a new focal point, with some interpreting the removal of the company name as a sign of employment consequences.

However, the profile change alone does not confirm that Stanich was fired, resigned or otherwise separated from Liberty Mutual. Employers and individuals often adjust public profiles for various reasons during online controversies, and no public statement from the company has verified her current employment status.
