Portuguese InsurTech FRANK Raises 2.9 Million Euros

Int’l Insurance Desk: Portuguese InsurTech firm FRANK has secured 2.9 million euros in fresh funding to expand its AI powered platform that aims to free insurance brokers from routine back office tasks. The round was co led by Armilar and Start and brings new capital to a company focused on streamlining the daily work of brokers across Europe.
FRANK develops software that uses artificial intelligence to handle administrative chores such as policy checks data entry and compliance paperwork. By taking those repetitive jobs off brokers desks the platform lets them spend more time advising clients and winning new business. The company says the technology already reduces processing times and cuts errors that often slow down traditional agency operations.
The funding arrives at a moment when many brokers are looking for ways to stay competitive against larger digital players. FRANK plans to use the money to improve its product speed up customer onboarding and push into additional European markets beyond its home base in Portugal. Early users have reported smoother workflows and better visibility over their book of business once the system is in place.
FinTech Global first reported the raise on 2 October 2026 noting that the investment reflects growing interest in tools that combine AI with practical insurance distribution needs. While the sum is modest by global standards it gives the Lisbon based startup room to refine its offering and prove that smaller specialist platforms can still attract serious backing in a crowded InsurTech field.
Whether FRANK can turn the capital into wider adoption will depend on how quickly brokers embrace the automation and how well the platform handles the varied regulations that still differ from country to country. For now the deal marks another vote of confidence in technology that tries to make the broker’s job simpler rather than replace it.
