Insurance News Desk: FinTech Global has released its ninth annual InsurTech100 list, spotlighting 100 of the most innovative companies using technology to reshape the insurance industry. The specialist research firm published the selection on 6 October 2026 after reviewing more than 2,100 candidates with a panel of analysts and industry experts.
The list is not ranked in numerical order but recognises firms applying technology across underwriting, claims, risk assessment, distribution and customer engagement.
Among those featured are bolttech, which operates a global technology-enabled insurance ecosystem across 39 markets; nCino, which supports brokers and underwriters with relationship and compliance tools; InsureMO, an API-first AI-powered middle office platform; Zinnia, a modern system of record for life and annuities; Equifax, which provides purpose-built data assets and predictive analytics for insurers; insured.io, offering a complete digital front-end for policyholders; Bdeo, which uses visual intelligence to transform claims; Cara, an AI platform built for insurance brokerages; ForMotiv, a provider of real-time behavioural intent data; and ReSource Pro, which delivers managed AI services combining automated agents with human oversight.
The timing coincides with rapid technological change in insurance. Artificial intelligence, automation and advanced data capabilities are reshaping how carriers develop products, evaluate risk and interact with customers. Research cited by FinTech Global points to the wider InsurTech sector growing from 21.96 billion dollars in 2025 to 30.24 billion dollars in 2026, a compound annual growth rate of 37.7 percent.
CEO Richard Sachar said the InsurTech100 reflects how quickly technology’s role in insurance is evolving. This year’s companies are not simply introducing new tools but tackling some of the industry’s biggest challenges in practical ways that can reshape how insurance operates.
